Bee Themed Pumpkins

I would not have normally chosen to do bees on a pumpkin because I use them more in my spring decor but I wanted to try the decoupage method on this Dollar Tree cement pumpkin and the bee was the only napkin I had that wasn't Christmas themed. I think it came out really nice.

I didn't take too many pics (sorry) but after I painted the flat pumpkin white, I separated the plies of the napkin . Then I tore the bees out and used a little mod podge to apply each one to create a random pattern.  They went on the pumpkin really nicely, hardly wrinkled.

I purchased the bee napkins at Bob's Garden Center (local).  The flat cement pumpkin, as I said is from Dollar Tree. The green pumpkin is also from Dollar Tree and I used a Dollar Tree stencil on that one. See photos for the blue pumpkin (a few posts back) because its the same method. Paint pen to draw the lines using the stencil as a guide then fill in once you pull the stencil away. It's easier that way.

The large pumpkin is from Michaels and I painted it to coordinate with the others.  I sprayed all of them with Krylon Matte finish.

Happy Fall Crafting!
