Mini Birchwood Scarecrow

There is really not much to this project that you can't gather by looking at the pictures so i won't go into too much but I think he came out super cute!  The wood pieces and the straw hats are both from Dollar Tree.

I removed the little gingham patch that came on the hat because I wanted to add some patterns that I thought would look nicer.  I used my ribbon for one of them.  I glued those onto the wood then glued the wood pieces together with some straw beneath the hat.

Of course you can add a face but sometimes I like to go against the tradition for a more modern version of things.  I  contemplated just doing the nose because it is a unique feature of the scarecrow but moved onto something else so no face for him.

He is quite small but looks really cute on top of a stack of books with larger Fall decor pieces!
